Longpi is an indigenous pottery technique using hand moulded serpentine clay local to the Ukhrul district of Manipur. This is an unglazed type of pottery that relies on wood-firing. The doubled handled cups are fired and then pieces are polished with Chirona leaves to develop the deep metallic colour.
