The little joys: a love note (to life) by Sophie Kuhn
It consists of:
Oh, nature! (10 inch)
Oh, summer! (10 inch)
Oh, diversity! (7.5 inch)
Oh how cheesy are poems about nature? How generic, redundant and unoriginal. Yes we all know that the sun is smiling in the sky, that the grass is greener on the other side. Oh yes, and the trees with their leaves, dancing in the breeze, oh how the pollen make you sneeze.
I’m sure we have all read our fair share of this seemingly repetitive regurgitated romance. I’m certain most of us are screaming, “oh we get it, you can stop now!” Yet I beg to question, do we really get it? How many of us have fallen for the kiss of the summer sun, or the momentary scent of sweet peas in the fields. How many of us remember tracing shapes in the clouds with red earth in our fingernails? How many of us only view the world through the windows of worn pages and digital screens? When was the last time our feet touched the ground, sensed sounds, asked questions profound? Just how many of these pocket-sized joys have we found? So for all the tiny little joys, the ones you haven't met for those who’ve known them, and those who haven’t yet, Oh I do hope this finds you well.

Mumbai based Chitresh Sinha founded The Plated Project as a way to initiate change and help end hunger in India. It works on the concept 'buy a plate, fill a plate'. Every month, the project collaborates with an NGO and talented artists to create one-of-a-kind plates printed with unique, beautiful art. The profits from plate sales are donated to charity. Digitally printed on ceramic wall plates, each plate traces a wide variety of stories and memories.
