ABOUT ATELIER LALMITTI
Atelier Lālmitti is a clay studio located in the village of Andretta, in the heart of the Indian Himalayas, near Dharamshala. It is founded by Élodie Alexandre and Reyaz Badaruddin, a ceramic artist duo from France and India. Their ceramic pieces are made by hand using local red earthenware clay and hand painted with blue and green motifs inspired by the surroundings. Working in small unique series, their work is cheerful and friendly, ideal to turn daily occasions into special moments.
Look for Atelier Lālmitti’s little cat logo; it is stamped on all the pieces. You will also notice small recess areas at the bottom of the pieces - these are the finger-grip marks which occur while dipping the pots in glaze. We like to leave this as a feature and a trace of the hand of the maker. As with the rest of the process, it contributes to make each and every piece unique.
All the pieces are one of a kind limited edition products.
